Beyond 3,000 Miles: Bringing Clean Water, Healthcare, and the Gospel to Andhra Pradesh (India)

We recently completed a 10-day mission trip into the Eastern Ghats of Andhra Pradesh, covering over 3,000 miles of rugged terrain to equip local believers. During this outreach, we held pastors’ conferences, training 300 pastors and equipping an additional 1,000 tribal believers across 10 villages.
Yet, this trip only scratched the surface. The region—spanning the Polavaram, ASR, and Parvathipuram (Manyam) districts—is home to over 2 million people speaking 18 distinct languages. Across the 30 tribal villages we currently serve, the physical and spiritual needs are overwhelming:
- Unsafe Water: Families rely on mountain streams for drinking water, leading to rampant typhoid fever, severe illness, and loss of life—especially among children and the elderly.
- Severe Health Crises: Heavy rains create breeding grounds for malaria and contagious diseases. With the nearest hospital over 60 miles away and no reliable transportation, medical emergencies are often fatal. Tragically, one of our young pastors, Vijay Paul, recently passed away from malaria and typhoid, leaving behind his wife and one-year-old son.
- Educational Barriers: Treacherous weather and long distances (30–35 miles) keep education at a standstill for most children.
A God-Given Vision for the Eastern Ghats:
Moving forward, we are trusting the Lord to help us meet both spiritual and physical needs by:
- Providing accessible water purification systems for tribal villages.
- Deploying a mobile ambulance service for rapid medical response, alongside preventative care like mosquito nets.
- Establishing free tuition and feeding centers to educate and care for vulnerable children.

Unpacking Biblical Leadership: God’s Word Comes Alive in Zimbabwe
God moved in a powerful way during our recent training sessions in Zimbabwe. In Nketha, 68 pastors and church leaders gathered for our Leadership Exchange program—a deeply impactful time of learning and growth. As we unpack biblical leadership, God’s Word continues to come alive in fresh ways.
Simultaneously, 14 rural leaders in ESiphezini are undergoing the same training, while dynamic leader development continues to expand across the Ntabazinduna region. Watch this brief clip of testimonies to witness the joy and excitement of a couple of people that attended this training.
